The newest from Johnny Flynn, the EP "Sweet William," is a beautiful continuation of what Flynn started with his debut, A Larum. The songs run in the same new-folksy vein, accompanied perfectly by Flynn's clear voice. "Drum" is a little on the sparse side, but builds to a sparkling crescendo of layered vocals; and the title track is so bittersweet it must have a cocoa content of at least 90%.
Give the four songs a listen here.
A pair of songs from last year's A Larum:
"Tickle Me Pink"
"The Wrote and the Writ"
