Fashion Friday: Rhianna in Italian Vogue

New York Magazine's calling it an acid trip, but the couture spread, as one commenter pointed out, is stolen from a later era.

The entire spread smacks of Grace-Jones-meets-Thunderdome, with a little Pretty in Pink added for good measure. Still, Rhianna looks good, though a little confused; we can't blame her for the foibles of the designer, now, can we?

Fashion Friday: Serge Gainsbourg

Husband of Jane Birkin, father to Charlotte, Serge Gainsbourg truly embodied the 60s mod look. Gainsbourg favored dark pinstriped suits, shirts unbuttoned at the throat, well-made shoes, and double-breasted jackets--classics sifted through the swinging sensibility that strode through Europe in the 60s. Where Gainsbourgh's sensibility really shines, however, is in the film that accompanies his distinct songs.
