Husband of Jane Birkin, father to Charlotte, Serge Gainsbourg truly embodied the 60s mod look. Gainsbourg favored dark pinstriped suits, shirts unbuttoned at the throat, well-made shoes, and double-breasted jackets--classics sifted through the swinging sensibility that strode through Europe in the 60s. Where Gainsbourgh's sensibility really shines, however, is in the film that accompanies his distinct songs.
