Once again, we are here with another installment of Tappin That Azz Thursday.
For this track we’re going to take it back again to 1993. What can I say, 1993 seemed to be the year when everyone wanted to Tap That Azz, and what better music to tap it to than that of Mr. R. Kelly’s.
Robert Sylvester Kelly, who hailed from the Southside of Chicago, had broke on through to the music scene in 1993 with the debut release of, ‘12 play’. This album was a bedroom must for all the lovers across the globe (and still is). However, one song stood out from the entire album, and still stands out from Mr. Kelly’s entire catalogue. Hailed as a bedroom booty tappin’ anthem, ‘Bump n’ Grind’ would go on to top the charts for 12 weeks becoming the longest running R&B single of its current time. It would also become a hit abroad, meaning not only Americans wanted to ‘get it on’, but also others around the world.
So here it is, enjoy it while Tappin That Azz:
