Every so often, an artist comes along that alters the way the music world thinks fashionably. They leave not only an imprint on the mind, but in music as well.
For this First Fashion Friday, Elly Jackson of La Roux is one of those artists. The UK born chanteuse’ fashion influences have become apparent through her style. She is a mixture of David Bowie’s, Ziggy Stardust and Molly Ringwald’s Andy Walsh, from ‘Pretty In Pink’. She is indeed a throwback of the past mixed with a hint of the futuristic. Combined with fellow producer, Ben Langmaid, she is able to mix her fashion sense with her musical talent and create the ultimate package.
