Hello readers, I come with the first installment of Tap That Azz Thursday. To be more clear this is basically an entry geared towards songs that make you wanna "Tap That Azz". I figured this is for the lovers, and since we are also in "Throwback Thursday", why not throw this installment to the 90s. The 90s was full of wonderful icons who hit the pinnacles of their career. Also those who were finally not affraid to show their sexuality.
When the youngest of the Jacksons, Janet, decided on a musical career, most were afraid how she would come across. At first, Janet, was a sweet girl next door whom everyone loved. However, as she grew, she became one of the most predominant divas of our time. With the release of "Control" in the 1980s, she was no longer the sweet girl next door, but a woman: She was Ms. Jackson, if you're "Nasty". In the early 90s with the release of "Rhythm Nation", she garnered a strong independent front, but still lacked that sexual appeal. However, something was to eventually change. She went from Ms. Jackson, to simply Janet.
In 1993, she released her self titled album: janet. She also released herself to the world as not only a strong, independent woman, but one who was a real sexual being. From this album came some of the most sensual songs. Ballads like "Thats the way love goes", "Again", & "Anytime, Anyplace" helped solidified Janet as not only a best selling artist but a sexual icon.
One such song that has become a personal favorite, and one definitely to get you in the mood to "Tap That Azz" this week comes from the 'janet.' album. The song "If", which was the 2nd single, from this, not only had interesting lyrics but a very enjoyable video that could certainly get you to dance if not in the mood to "Tap That Azz"...
