New Music Tuesday Time... Albums Of The Week

Allison Iraheta - Just Like You

This is the debut album from the former American Idol contestant, and it is primed to be right up there with the former winners of the contest. Only one thing, Iraheta did not win. In a way this is actually refreshing, because that Idol stigma does not carry over at all on this album. Having released her first single, ‘Friday I’ll Be Over U’, the mood and sound of the entire album can be seen. Definitely a must grab, especially if you are having a tough time still deciding, ‘Kris vs. Adam’…

R. Kelly - Untitled

This is the 9th studio album from the R&B singer/songwriter, and so far has generated much buzz. Initially supposed to be released in 2008, it was leaked, as well as the ensuing court case around Mr. Kelly, therefore production was halted. However, the album has been since released, and with its lead single, ‘Number One’ (featuring Keri Hilson), it seems R. Kelly is back to Rule the R&B charts. A must have this week…

Blakroc

This is a must have album for the Winter season, as it adds a unique touch to any music lovers library. A collaboration with the Rock band, ‘The Black Keys’ and some of Hip-hop’s most influential artists such as, Raekwon, ODB (Deceased), Jim Jones, Mos Def, Ludacris, Q-tip, and produced by Hip-Hop heavy weight Damon Dash, this album is hard to miss. A must have for all the music lovers out there…

Juvenile - Cocky & Confident

This is the 9th studio album from the New Orleans Rapper and let it be known Juvenile is still the man after all these years. With his album, ‘Cocky & Confident’, it packs a punch with such collaborations with Dorrough, Pleasure P, as well as other artists. With its lead single, ‘Hands On You’, it set the tempo for whats to come. A must have this week…

The Bravery - Stir The Blood

This is the 3rd album from the New York rockers, and it was recorded in an old, abandoned church which once had been used by the B52s & The Pixies. With the release of its first single, ‘Slow Poison’, charting at #24 on the Alternative song charts, and a 2nd single, ‘I Am Your Skin’, the album looks to be at least an underground success, if not Mainstream. A must have for my Alternative Rock listeners…
