DJ Spotlight: Kaskade


Born Ryan Raddon in Chicago, Illinois, 1972. His stage name was chosen, after seeing a picture of a waterfall.

Moved to Utah for his undergraduate education, and during this time he owned and operated his own Music store, Mechanized Records.

Later moved to San Francisco to work for the record company, ‘Om Records’.

During this time (2001), he released his first single ‘What I Say’


In 2004, He released his debut album “In The Moment”. The single “Steppin’ Out” charted at #5, and the 4th single “Everything” rose to #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play.


In 2005, he released the hit dance anthem, ‘4 AM', in which the remix became popular.


His 4th Album, “Love Mysterious”, gained him critical acclaim and popularity. The singles ‘Be Still’, ‘Stars Align’, ‘Love Mysterious’, and ‘Sorry’ became top ten singles. The remix of ‘Sorry’, redone by Robbie Rivera was nominated for a Grammy in 2008.


In 2008, he released the album, “Strobelite Seduction”. The 1st single, ‘Move For Me’, reached the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay Chart. This became his first #1 single.


The second single, ‘Angel On My Shoulder’ has also charted and had an impact on the Billboard Dance charts.


Has collaborated with other DJs, such as Deadmau5, Tiesto, and Robbie Rivera. He has also done remixes for Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Paris Hilton, Seal, Pussycat Dolls, Little Boots, and Jes.


“The Grand” is his latest release, and is a mix album.

Is currently on tour DJing all the hits. Look for Kaskade to make even more of an impact on the Dance music scene.
