New Music Tuesday Time!

So here it is, the 1st edition of New Music Tuesday for The Music On Tap! So what do we have on tap this new and wonderful weekly holiday? Well lets see, there is loads of great new music, however these days it is getting a bit hard to sift through to find what is actually good.

Picks 2 Click: New Albums Of The Week

Calvin Harris- Ready For The Weekend

Of course a dance album would make the cut this week, and what better choice than that of Calvin Harris. The main influence I feel from this album is that of a 70s Disco. The main hit of the entire album is “I’m not alone”, which includes a great remix by DJ extraordinaire Deadmau5... A must get for the Dancing Divas and Dudes

Sean Paul - Imperial Blaze
Guess who is back? After taking a hiatus, Sean Paul is back with his new album ‘Imperial Blaze’. Expected was the reggae, what wasn’t was how good it still actually sounds. With the first single, ‘So Fine’, it is and has become a dancehall hit, however there are many more to come. In fact watch for “Hold My Hand’ with Keri Hilson to rival that off the album.

Kate Earl - Kate Earl

The 2nd album from the singer/songwriter is destined to make a large splash in 2009. Already listed as the Itunes free single of the week, with “Melody”, the music of this artist is sure to rise. Ms. Earl has crafted a similar sound, musically to Duffy, Amy Winehouse, yet also that of Jem, Feist, as well as that of Imogean Heap. Definitely a must grab for the week.

Singles Of The Week

Replay - I.Y.A.Z.

Now this was a pleasant surprise, very radio friendly, and one of those special love songs with a good dance beat. A mix of Hip Hop and Reggae; very reminiscent of Sean Kingston, as well as a good crossover to pop song.

Stronger - Mary J Blige

The 2nd single dropped by the Queen of Hip Hop & Soul, this unlike the 1st has a different tone. With ‘The One”, you feel the urban beats pound through. In this 2nd single, you hear that of a ballad, once again another love song. A definite hit for the R&B charts.

I Wanna Go Crazy - David Guetta with Wil. I. Am.

One of the world's greatest DJ's has done it again with the 3rd teaser single from his upcoming album. I wanna go crazy has the right beats to make the dance crowd do exactly what the title says. A must get for the clubber who just loves to dance, dance, and dance.

'Til Next Tuesday...
