Rodrigo y Gabriela - 11:11
They’re back, and indeed they are this time with their 2nd studio album, ‘11:11’. Once again Rodrigo y Gabriela stay true to their metal roots while blending it with their pulse pounding acoustic guitar. One song that displays this is 'Atman’, which is a collaboration with Testament guitarist, Alex Skolnick. Others that guest on the album are Strunz & Farah, only add more magic to what is already a must have for this week. Look for the songs ‘Buster Voodoo’, ‘Atman’, and ‘Hora Zero’ to make a heavy impact on the charts. A definite must have for the acoustic guitar aficionado.
Back with his 3rd studio album, ‘Sound The Alarm’, Howie Day comes back with an album that was written with many influences all over the country in mind. The album itself was recorded all over the US between 2006-08. It contains many collaborations with artists such as, Jason Mraz, KT Tunstall, Kevin Griffin, as well as many others for his album. The lead single ‘Be There’ is a testament to the overall sound of the album. However, songs like ‘So Stung’, ‘Longest Night’, and ‘Counting On Me’ have the ability to become charted hits for the singer/songwriter. A must have for this week.
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II
This the 4th album from the Wu Tang Clan Member. However, it is a sequel to his debut album from 1995. Already highly anticipated, a leak of the single ‘Surgical Gloves’ had already received critical acclaim. The album itself guests fellow members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method man & Ghostface Killah, as well as appearances by Bista Rhymes, Jadakiss, and Bun B. Songs such as, ‘House of Flying Daggers‘, ‘Catalina’, and ‘Kiss The Ring’ sound as if they are already chart hits. A must have for the Wu-Tang fan and Rap Kings & Queens
