A bit of classic weirdness, the Shaggs were an all-sister act of Dorothy, Betty, and Helen Wiggin, (later joined by the fourth sister, Rachel). Their father had been informed by a psychic that his daughters would one day be in a pop group; so once he had daughters, he set out to make that a reality.
Generally considered terrible, the Shaggs have developed a cult following as pioneers of outsider music. At first listen, their songs seem to have absolutely none of what is generally thought of as musical quality, but the odd approach starts to make some sort of bizarre sense after a few listens.
"My Cutie"
"My Pal Foot-Foot"
"You're Something Special To Me"
