Chicago's Wesley Willis--artist, paranoid schitzophrenic, highly prolific, charismatic, enigmatic, problematic. Willis played with Canada's Monster Voodoo Machine and the Wesley Willis Fiasco, a Chicago punk band, before becoming more famous on his own. His lyrics are often absurd and bizarre, his songs all follow the same basic sound, he drew heavily on pop culture references, and he completely endeared himself to fans.
Willis died in 2003.
