Sure, Phoenix's Green Lady Killers (Lady Van Buren, Cherrybomb, and Annie Venom) have the look and the attitude, but what about the sound? Yes--they prove that they can pull out furious and sweltering punk-tinged-rock (see "My 45," "Starstruck," or "Psycho Ellen" for proof), dark Misfits-like dirges (could "One and Only"be referring to...? Nah....) and sweetly soulful songs like "Linger," and they do it with a heaping dose of style. And as has been noted by the Phoenix New Times, they do absolutely gorgeous posters.
The Green Lady Killers are currently touring the West Coast promoting their full length album, "Just Fine," out this fall.
