Wednesday Weirdness: Rockwell

If you made it through the 80s, or any of the VH1 specials on the topic, or those latest Geico commercials, you'll know the one hit that Rockwell produced, "Somebody's Watching Me," which features vocals by no less than Michael and Jermaine Jackson:

"Somebody's Watching Me"

Rockwell (real name Kennedy Gordy and son of Mowtown legend Barry Gordy) seems to have had a touch of paranoia, and most delightfully, the creepy characters from the first video show up in the follow up (which barely scratched the top 40):

"Obscene Phone Caller"

Sadly, the paranoia schtick started to wear thin:

"Peeping Tom"

Rockwell covering Beatles, again with a hint of (quite possibly justified in this case):

"Taxman"

Rockwell made two more albums, but never again touched his "Somebody's Watching Me" success.

H/T to Jason of That 80's Hair Band for tipping me off!
